Branch Boss was born from Russten Johnson's relentless pursuit toward finding and attracting the best bucks on both public and private lands. He wanted a legal, easy, and effective method of finding the best bucks in an area, attracting them in view of his trail camera year round. Thus, research and development of our first product, BRANCH BOSS SCRAPE SPRAY, went underway.

He ran countless tests starting in 2017 and into the 2020's, testing the most attractive synthetic scent combinations throughout every month. The second year of testing is when the seas parted and a tremendous breakthrough occurred. He found and developed the absolute best formula (the same one we sell today!). After this discovery, he continued to vigorously test it against other self-produced scents and commercial scents, but there was no close second! There was a drastic difference between our formula and the rest of the scents tested. Even when traveling from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missouri, to hills and hollers of Oklahoma, and field edges and ditches of Kansas, our formula worked everywhere!

After personally using this spray for a while and maintaining a secret competitive advantage, Russten decided that the secret was too good to keep to himself and wanted to help other hunters be successful in finding big bucks and have the fun he was having by using the formula. He released it in 2022 via direct messages on social media to get it in the hands of hunters from different parts of the country. After hearing about their overwhelmingly positive experiences and results, he worked to launch a website to streamline the process and offer the formula commercially for the first time. In 2023, we officially launched BranchBoss.net!

We now have customers from across the country and all terrain types. The results have been proven over and over! It flat out works.
